Dear politicians,
With the general election imminent, here’s what I’d like you to do to help me decide whether or not I’ll vote for you:
- Tell me what positive actions you will take, if elected, to improve the lives of the citizens you will have the privilege to represent. Give details, not vague assertions & aspirations.
- Tell me what positive actions your party will take , if given the privilege to form a government, to improve the lives of the citizens it will have the privilege to represent. Again, give details, not vague assertions & aspirations.
- If you want to tell me about what you or your party have already achieved, provide evidence.
- Don’t tell me what your opponents have or haven’t done, or will or won’t do. I’m interested in what you’ve done or will do.
- Be grown-up – leave the squabbling and name-calling in the playground. and encourage your supporters to do the same.
